Please read the following booking conditions carefully, as they set out the terms and conditions of the contract between you and TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE through whom your wedding/honeymoon/romantic weekender or anniversary booking will be handled.
1. The wedding packages and quoted prices are guidelines and should be viewed as such from the outset until all has been confirmed and 100% in place. Elimination or addition of any wedding services to the outlined packages may incur a different quote to that stated originally. 50% non refundable deposit is required immediately in order to secure your date and relevant suppliers. For any cancellations – we are bound by some of our suppliers terms and conditions and there will be no refund whatsoever thereafter.
2. Costs will be calculated depending on what the bridal couple need and want for their special day.
3. Prices remain the same during the week and Saturdays. Additional charges are incurred for Sundays by some of the suppliers.
4. Wedding numbers do not need to be finalised until a month before the wedding but may not exceed the package guest limit unless otherwise agreed to with TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE
5. Any guest numbers that exceed that of the package will incur extra costs and will be added to the final bill.
6. Tamboti Bush Lodge has a zero tolerance on all uses of drugs and will contact police if they suspect any unlawful behaviour during the reception.
7. Any damages to the property during the ceremony and reception will be charged to the wedding couple accordingly and includes the accommodation booked for guests attending the wedding.
8. Any breakages of glasses will be charged to the wedding couple accordingly.
9. Tamboti allows confetti to be thrown but only when it is of natural degradable material. (most times, they use rose petals)
10. Tamboti Bush Lodge allows music to be played until 12.30am but if special arrangements are made, most times are happy to go beyond this time although always considering any other guests that will be staying at the lode during the time of the wedding.
11. Guests that are not staying at Tamboti, will need to leave the premises at the stipulated cut off time. Anyone that is left after this time will be charged for a night’s stay.
Food and Drink:
12. All food and drink consumed at Tamboti that isn’t outlined on the packages specifically will be calculated over and above the wedding package quote.
13. Food will be calculated at an agreed price per head beforehand.
14. Menu choices do not need to be finalised until a month before the wedding but any changes nearer the day of the wedding may incur a product cancellation charge.
15. Drinks will be charged on a drink by drink basis and calculated for a final bill unless alternate arrangements are agreed by TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE and the wedding couple prior to the day. Tamboti offer a fully stocked cash bar and carries a liquor licence therefore no liquor may be brought onto the premises.
16. Coffee and tea will be charged according to how many pots are made.
17. Tamboti Bush Lodge will happily cater for children and provide them with a separate food and drink menu if required. Please enquire.
18. Tamboti will not refrigerate any cooked food. Food that is not consumed will be thrown out on the night after the wedding.
Staffing:
19. Tamboti Bush Lodge will not tolerate any abusive or threatening behaviour towards any of their staff. This is seen in a very serious light so please take note.
20. TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE, via a venue charge, will organise the set up, organisation and clearing of the venue after the reception. Venue charges are charged according to the number of guests invited.
Set Up:
21. Tamboti Bush Lodge will not be liable for any adverse weather conditions on the day of the wedding but will make every effort to forecast any bad weather coming and make alternate plans for the reception and ceremony. However, it will ultimately be the responsibility of the couple to decide on any additional coverings or heaters.
22. Any additional hiring other than what was quoted to you, will be at the wedding couple’s cost and will be added to their final bill.
Accommodation:
23. Accommodation for any guests before or after the wedding day will be calculated at the standard seasonal rate.
24. Tamboti will charge for any extra guests that stay over.
25. Tamboti does not allow any guest to use any of the furniture in the communal areas or gardens as a bed.
Extra Services:
26. TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE will be happy to organise extra wedding services that are not included in your basic wedding package, like videographer or wedding cake for the day. However, the final totals calculated by these service providers will need to be settled by the wedding couple and payment will be their responsibility, unless an alternate payment plan has been agreed to with management.
27. Any additional services, to that outlined in the wedding package quoted to you, rendered by any of the wedding service providers before, on or after the wedding day will be charged directly to the wedding couple.
28. If any bride is more than 15 minutes late, there will be additional charges invoiced for overtime for the wedding co ordinator, minister and all suppliers involved.
29. Any Tamboti bush wedding booking that is made and date confirmed by our office carries a 50% cancellation fee of the total price quoted and TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE reserves the right to charge up to 100% in specific circumstances and where deemed necessary.
30. Any photographs taken of our bridal couples and their weddings will be used on our website. This will also ensure that the couple is placed in the draw to win a free anniversary.
Legal
This document together with TAMBOTI BUSH LODGES standard booking form which will be sent through to you to complete, and The TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE invoice / itinerary constitutes the sole record of the agreement between the parties unless for unforeseen circumstances, you are have no choice but to email your request through to our offices to go ahead and confirm your booking. No party shall be bound by any other representation, warranty, and promise of the like not recorded herein. No addition to The TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE standard booking conditions shall be of any force or effect unless in writing and signed by or on behalf of the parties unless in very rare circumstances an email has to be used in order to give instructions and these instructions are clear. No indulgence which TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE, (“the grantor”), may grant to the bride or groom (“the grantee”), shall constitute a waiver of any of the rights of the grantor, who shall not thereby be precluded from exercising any rights against the grantee which may have arisen in the past or which might arise in the future.
All costs and disbursements, including legal costs on the attorney and client scale incurred by TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE in recovering any damages and payments payable by the bridal couple (bride or groom) to TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE shall be for the bridal couples account. This agreement shall in all respects be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The bride/groom or couple hereby consents to the jurisdiction of the Magistrates Court having jurisdiction over its person in respect of all proceedings in connection with this agreement. The parties hereby respectively choose domicilium citandi et executandi for all notices and processes to be given and served in pursuance of this agreement at their respective addresses as given on The TAMBOTI BUSH LODGE standard booking form.
Either party may change its domicilium by written notice delivered by hand or sent by prepaid registered post to the other party. In this agreement an expression which denotes a gender includes the other genders, a natural person includes an artificial person and vice versa, the singular includes the plural and vice versa.
